Striking for the row of stately Norfolk Island pines that define the beachfront esplanade, Terrigal is situated at the southern end of a stunning 4 km beach.

Its reputation as a top surfing spot, combined with its beautiful location on Broken Head, have made it a popular holiday spot since the late 1800s. Today the town is a blend of natural beauty, sophisticated dining, a lively cafe culture and plenty of good accommodation.

Terrigal also offers an assortment of holiday activities that include fishing, swimming, surfing, boating, diving and scenic walks. An easy walk up the Skillion Lookout on Broken Head provides panoramic coastal views while a fascinating dive site can be found 1.4 km offshore, where the wreck of the Ex-HMAS Adelaide rests in 32m of pristine ocean.

The local waters provide a varied bounty of fish and the surrounding area of Terrigal is a popular spot for throwing in a line. it's also a great vantage point to look out for the whales that migrate along the coast from May to October.

Other things to do around Terrigal include enjoying the tranquility of Wamberal Lagoon and its sanctuary for protected birds and animals, swimming in Terrigal lagoon and hang-gliding at nearby Forresters Beach.

Terrigal offers a great option as a place to stay, with the further undulation of nearby coastal towns both north and south, around MacMasters, North Avoca and Wamberal, offering a continuation of superb beach locations.
