Located on the railway line between Port Augusta and Leigh Creek in the Flinders Ranges is this tiny outback town called Parachilna.

Not much remains of this once busy little town except for the local pub and some old sandstone and limestone historical buildings. The pub is now built on the site of the old railway siding and is a welcome stop for travelers wishing to explore the Parachilna gorge and the rest of the Flinders Ranges.

Local Aboriginal art can be found in the area as well as the Ediacaran fossils.
